Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at hello@rootedmtbfest.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

150 shredders have been invited from all over the country and Canada!

You must be 16 years or older to attend the festival.  Ages 16 and 17 must have a guardian in attendance.  It must be noted that we love riders of all ages.  Please stay tuned for special events outside  of the festival for younger shredders.

If you’d like to rent a bike, we recommend contacting Loud Performance (716-386-1171) ASAP to secure a bike. GOATI Edinboro also has a selection of bikes to rent. Please contact Beth Farbotnik at bgillette1020@gmail.com for details. If you strike out with these options, send an email to hello@rootedmtbfest.com and we will see if we can help source a rental for you.

Stay tuned, we are currently working on having bigger brands bring their demo bikes.

With the purchase of a weekend pass you receive free parking and weekend camping thanks to Loud Performance. You are invited to come set up camp as early as noon on Thursday July 20th.

Note: camping is primitive in an open field and along a tree line. There is plenty of room to bring extra easy up tents for your camping space and elaborate setups are welcome and the best one will possibly be rewarded. Camping is primitive, but the festival bathrooms are deluxe and will be available all weekend.

You may bring travel trailers, tents or sleep in your car/van. The festival grounds are a very safe place, but we recommend leaving valuables at home or locked up, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen goods. We ask that you tear down camp any time on Sunday the 23rd or Monday the 24th.

There are several good hotels about 15-20 minutes away from the festival and plenty of airbnb options nearby.

Good question!  We will have water/hydration filling stations for the event.  We suggest bringing as much water as you would normally bring for a weekend of camping and cooking, 5-10 gallons.

Yes, there will be a private, cold water shower available all weekend.

This event is for women only, we do have supportive men helping us run booths and some clinics, but they will leave the festival grounds after they are done working. FTW and non-binary folks who are comfortable in a femme setting are welcome and encouraged to join us at Rooted.

Please leave pets, children and male partners and friends at home. You are going to be having too much fun to give them the attention they need. Enjoy this “you time” with the girls to the fullest!

Yes!  There will be MTB skills clinics (skinnies, drops, jumping, technical climbing, cornering, intro classes and more!).   We can't forget our infamous nature ride with Adele!  All skills clinics come at an extra cost and ALL of that money goes directly to the coaches.  The clinics can cost from $10-$60 each.  We have bad-ass coaches that deserve the full compensation for their time and knowledge.

There will also be two fabulous lady bike mechanics there to provide clinics on maintenance, cleaning your bikes, trail side fixes, cross country bike vs downhill bike and more, all free to you!

All coaches providing their time for the weekend are super stoked to empower you all with their knowledge and skill sets!

We are planning for early spring, April.

The event ticket is $85.  That gets you loads of fun (group rides, certain clinics, bikes demos and camping).  Things that will be an additional cost, should you want to partake: food trucks,  vendor shopping, and skills clinics.

Yes, there will be a food trucks throughout the weekend and WNYMBA will be selling breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Coffee and tea will also be available thanks to Cusa.  Check out our food schedule in the "event info" tab.

Happy hour drinks (beer+wine) will be provided at no charge to you thanks to the generous support of Mazza Wineries. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages for the weekend.

This is a non-refundable ticket. You may transfer your ticket to another person until July 9th, after that transfers won’t be accepted.

We will use a waitlist in the event that tickets sell out, email us at hello@rootedmtbfest.com and we can offer your ticket to our waitlist if you need help selling it. This does not guarantee a transfer refund for you. If we are unable to sell it, you will not get a refund. Transfers must be completed by July 20th and the new ticket holder’s name and details need to be submitted by that time.

This is a rain or shine event. We are able to still have a great event no matter the weather.
